Monuments In Varanasi

GHATS ON GANGES IN VARANASI

There is no sight as spectacular as Ghats of Varanasi soaked of the sun, seen from a boat on the Ganga at the dawn. Wake up before sun rise catch the painting like shadows of the devotees taking early dip in the holy water of Ganga and the boatmen.

KASHI VISHWANATH TEMPLE

The city of Varanasi is dotted with temples all over; but, Kashi Vishwanath temple is the main temple. It is dedicated to Vishveswara-Shiva as lord of the Universe. Varanasi city was also called Kashi in ancient time, and hence the Temple is popularly called as Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

It was made by using white marble in the year 1964 and looks very fascinating with the beautiful garden. The temple is dedicated to the Lord Rama and constructed by Birlas, a family of Banaras. The temple has beautiful images of the Ram, Sita, Lakshhman and Hanuman.
